Ingredients:
Loaf of sourdough bread
Whole garlic bulb
Pesto (homemade or the TJs cashew one is good!)
Fresh buratta
Heirloom tomato
Salt, pepper & red pepper flakes
Directions:
Turn oven to 400°
Peel garlic and all cloves, place in a pan with olive oil and salt & bake for 10-12 minutes or until garlic is soft
While garlic is in oven, slice your sourdough bread and put a small bit of olive oil on both sides of bread
Toast bread in a skillet over medium heat, flipping regularly till both sides are golden and toasted
Once bread is toasted, smear the baked garlic across the bread
Smear the pesto over the bread and place the fresh buratta onto the toast. Smear evenly.
Season with salt, pepper and red pepper flakes (optional).
